machined aluminum spine in two pieces, polycarbonate deck
(stock materials including nuts and bolts, wheels, trucks, quick release bolts and grip tape)

Adjustable length spine and quick release bolts allows the rider to change the steering and cruisablilty dynamics of this skateboard in the field. A longer wheelbase makes for a faster ride, but a shorter wheelbase allows for a tighter turning radius.

Skateboards shown range from 36" to 48" in length and 10" wide. These were promotional skateboards I made for my custom skateboard deck design and manufacture company.

07 - Silver Pendant Process Photograph

Photo shows steps in creating the two silver pendants at center. Starting from pure silver coins - melted into ingots and flattened into sheet - computer design based on a sketch - fed into a CNC machine and prototyped in wax - finally engraved into the sheet and cut by hand. Sandblasting, polishing, and other finishing steps not shown.

hand shaped glass bricks (1" to 2.5" thick), cement, steel frame

Table was built from scratch - I made the welded steel frame, helped make the recycled glass bricks, shaped the glass bricks by hand, arranged and fit the bricks together, and finally suspended them in cement. Weighs approximately 50 pounds.

I aided in the rolling of recycled glass into sheet glass used in this piece - then cut and fit the various pieces together using the stained glass technique.

17 - Ergonomic Guitar-player's Stool

25" tall, seat is 21" wide, legs are 12" square
stained red oak, glue

Legs are rotated 45 degrees from normal 4-legged stools such that the guitar player can rest their right foot on a higher rung for proper support of the guitar. Designed for right-handed guitar players.

Logo was designed for a startup chain of chai-tea and coffee shops in the northwest. Commissioned work included a logo, general marketing color-scheme, website, and advertisements.

Complete website and company look-and-feel re-design at www.scistorage.com. Website was aimed at architects and designers who specify storage systems offered by System Concepts, Inc.
